KobraEditing responds:

Well yeah...it is doing good and all, but with the time and effort it takes for me to make it...I do not feel it is doing well. That is what I meant. Thanks I am glad you like it. My own KH story? Sounds fun

ForkClock responds:

A 22-year-old Tucson man who eluded police for more than two days after shooting an officer and stabbing another man was found dead in his Midtown apartment of an apparently self-inflicted gunshot wound Friday.

Adam Christopher Fulton had sent suicidal e-mails from his apartment to family members in California, and officers discovered correspondence left for them as well when they burst into his apartment at 11:47 a.m., said Assistant Police Chief Roberto Villaseñor and Officer Kathy Wendling, a Tucson Police Department spokeswoman.

The officers found Fulton on his bathroom floor, with an apparent gunshot wound to his head, Wendling said.

The discovery ended a five-hour shutdown of the neighborhood, near East Speedway and North Country Club Road.

Dozens of officers responded and officials shut down several streets in the area, evacuating more than a dozen homes adjacent to Fulton's apartment, in the 3100 block of East Fairmount Street, just north of Speedway. But it was a difficult end to accept, Villaseñor said.

"Obviously, the department is relieved that a dangerous individual is not at large in the community anymore and that no one else was hurt," he said. "But anytime there's a loss of life, it's a tragedy."

The search for Fulton began about 7 p.m. Tuesday, after police went to his apartment complex to investigate the stabbing of Ricky Eugene Duncan, 45.

While they were talking to Duncan, Fulton returned and Duncan pointed him out, so officers gave chase, officials said.

Fulton fired at Officer Jobe Dickinson, striking him once in the calf, then continued fleeing.

Duncan and Fulton had been drinking together before the stabbing, Wendling said, though investigators aren't sure what prompted Fulton to stab him. Duncan was treated and released at a hospital. Dickinson, 25, also has been released from a hospital.

Police obtained an arrest warrant for Fulton on Wednesday, charging him with aggravated assault on a police officer.

They'd encouraged him to turn himself in peacefully, but hadn't received a good tip on his whereabouts until officials with the San Jose Police Department called at 6:39 a.m. Friday.

Fulton's family in San Jose had called police there, Wend-ling said, as they were concerned about his welfare after reading the two e-mails.

Villaseñor said the notes discussed some of the troubles Fulton had faced in life and also detailed the events of the shooting of Dickinson.

Officers immediately went to Fulton's apartment, arriving at 6:41. They began shutting down all nearby neighborhood streets and evacuated 10 units in Fulton's apartment complex as well as the north end of a mobile home park on Bellevue Street, but had to wait hours for SWAT and hostage negotiators to arrive, Wendling said.

The special units tried e-mailing replies to Fulton, to no avail, Villaseñor said. They also tried reaching him via telephone and bullhorn, then entered the home just before noon.

The incident attracted much attention, from residents who sat on their roofs and watched it to drivers who pulled off the street to ask officers what was happening. Some knew right away it had to involve the same man who'd caused such commotion in their normally quiet neighborhood Tuesday night.

"If they have him cornered, great," said Aaron Foster. "It's good to see them out this strong." Upon hearing Fulton could be dead, he expressed sadness, though: "It's still a life."

Amy Dutcher and neighbor Angela Garcia were frustrated they couldn't get past police barricades to get back to their children, especially because some of the kids had been traumatized since Tuesday's events.

"Her husband and mine are there with the kids," Dutcher said. "But I want to be there, too. It's a mommy thing."

Officials reopened streets shortly after noon.
